So I love history and learning about random stuff and this place reminded me of the Spy Museum in DC. Built in an old postal building and courthouse, this place had a great flow through the exhibits starting on the top floor highlighting the Mobs origins and then working your way to the second floor and the Mobs influence in Vegas. Finally the first floor is where you learn about the Mob today.
My only knock on this place (and I can't see how they'd fix it) is that the rooms are very small for the amount of people the museum accommodates. In some cases you feel like you are walking through single file. The other minor annoyance was the ticket line being to small again to accommodate the volume of people plus there were people with prepaid tickets that had to wait in the line for a bracelet. What was the point of prepaying then? Again these are nit picky minor annoyances for anyone from the museum reading this.
For a tour off the strip that is interesting and educational this is a great option. I didn't get to try the optional experiences like the Crime Lab and Use of Force which highlights tactical law enforcement strategies but they were only 20 mins for around $15 which is why I skipped it. The audio tour is also a bit repetitive from what you can read on a plaque or watch in a video so not sure I'd do that again. Overall a great time and experience in downtown Vegas!
