This is my preferred grocery store even though it's twice as far away from where I live as the St. Clair/Bathurst Loblaw's. It has most of what I need and I don't mind going elsewhere for a few other items that Freddie's doesn't stock. Shopping is quicker because the store is a modest size. Sometimes it's busy and I have to wait 5-10 min. in line to check out, but that is the case at any grocery store in this area. Yes, they stock during the daytime - that's okay with me because that's part of how they keep the prices low. Plus the aisles are big enough to accommodate the employees working and a shopping cart, so I can always get through.
I don't really understand other reviewers who seem to want it all - low prices (that's why we're here, isn't it?) PLUS tons of selection, produce section always 100% stocked, and Pollyanna-ish cashiers and other staff. I usually get a friendly greeting when I check out. What more do people want? I'm certainly not expecting to be treated like royalty. I'm just there to get my groceries!
A few days ago I accidentally left my wallet behind on the conveyor belt when checking out as I'd come by bicycle and not by car - different bagging system, therefore room for error. The next morning I went back in a panic but they had kept it there for me safe and sound, and all my cards and cash were still there. What a relief! Thank you to the cashier who found my wallet and kept it safe for me, as I didn't have a chance to thank you in person.
