I have found many musical treasures at this place. There are loads of vinyl bins here with a lot of boxes of LPs and 45s on the ground. I've never had the desire to dig through them and usually just stick with the "new arrivals" section. The wax is packed tight and I find myself yanking out handfuls to make room for flipping. There are some records there that have been in the bins for years, mainly because some are overpriced. If it's a UK pressing or has impressive packaging then chances are they will tack an extra $10 on there for no real reason. Old soul and funk are usually overpriced as well regardless if it's a quality record.
But on the flipside they also underprice gems. I have found some incredible hip-hop breaks in the single digits, so it's always well worth the dig. They have an ancient turntable set-up for listening to records, but having any sort of listening station is always welcome.
Neurotica also has loads of CDs and DVDs but I've never had much desire to look through them. I did once buy a new copy of Planet Earth for less than 40 dollars though. The staff has always been super nice to me and the first time you shop they they will give you a business card that gets you 10% off all purchases. Works for me!
