We have been to this new restaurant (Zen32 old location) twice, once for dinner on a Monday and once late on a Friday night. Both times the restaurant was not full. The Monday dinner was great, wonderful service with a knowledgeable server. The artichoke appetizer was delicious as was the ravioli of the day and steak we ordered. Dessert, the Floating Island, was something I've never had before but the creme anglais was so good I could have asked for a cup and a straw of it. I loved the idea that they were open until 1 am, giving us a great location to go after theatre. When we arrived on a past Friday after a show, the seating was taking place in the bar area and we were told we could sit at the bar or at a table in the bar area. The bar was nearly full with no two seat together so we opted for a table. We learned that the reverse happy hour was available at the bar only. This makes no sense. The tables are 2-5 feet away from the bar yet the menu and prices are totally different between the tables and the bar in the same room. Very silly to do this. Service on this second visit was less prompt, less polished and less knowledgeable. Overall, this second visit was not as good. As a new restaurant, I hope they can work out some of these kinks as they have some great selections on their menu.
