  • I am surprised that no one has reviewed Lovely Nails before. I was looking for a nail salon close enough that I wouldn't waste a lot of time in the car with damp nails. Lovely Nails fit the bill. When I visited the salon, it was a Tuesday, early afternoon. There was only one other client in the salon and she was nearly finished. There were only two people working there, but both were very nice. The salon also was very clean. It was no frills, which is fine with me. I went in for a mani/pedi. A woman (sorry, I didn't get her name), did my pedi. She was very good. She spent a good amount of time with a pumice stone, and for the most part was very gentle. She had a little trouble with polishing my toenails, but I have small feet and toes, and she got off all the excess polish, so it was not at all an issue. There are four pedicure chairs; two looked brand new and a third one she told me was also new. The one they save for client who like a more rigorous back massage. I have a bad back, so I don't even turn on the chair, so I was fine forgoing that. It's been nearly a week, and my toes look good. My nails were done by the other person working there, who is a man. He was also nice, though, maybe not as quite as attentive to detail as the woman. I'll have to go back and give him another try. The best part? The mani/pedi was only $44! That very good for this area where one can pay easily over $50. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they are limited on the colors they offer of nail polish. Next time, I'll bring my own if I want something special. I would definitely recommend them if you want decent mani/pedi for a decent price.
