I was at a running event and I happened to see a warehouse surrounded by chain link fences and with christmas lights on the doorway. I walked in to quench my thirst for adventure and expected to get stabbed, but I was greeted to what appeared to be a mix between a 50's style fountain shop, people dancing to swing, and a scene from Million Dollar Baby.
I ordered the short rib sliders expecting some cardboard white castle knockoff, but what touched my taste buds was pure meaty tenderness melting away like butter with a kiss of apple leaving me wanting for more.
The service seemed great to me. The girl near the trailer area, she rocks and was about as high spirited as you can get without drugs.
In short, this place has a lot of soul. It reminds me of some places I use to go to in Austin. I'm glad places like this exist in Phoenix and hopefully stay around so that my options aren't limited to yet another sports bar with patrons staring slack jawed at the plasma screen ahead periodically grunting loudly when something happens.
