There's something off about the coffee here. I only drink it black, so I've become quite the critic when it comes to decent coffee. The Americano tastes old, bitter, and syrupy. After being roasted, coffee beans are only fresh for a few days, if that. They should be stored in vacuum packed containers to retain the initial freshness. Then there's that whole issue with grind, ideal water temperature, etc.
I'll stop bitching now.
It would be great to find a decent cup in Toronto, and this place has the potential. If only Te Aro knew how to roast and store coffee beans properly.
On a side note, the baristas are (usually) likeable.
