It's a massage school, people. They are learning.
That said, I was pretty pleased with my experience at their weekend clinic. Went around closing time, so they weren't busy at all. Was greeted by the front desk staff, gave them my $25 coupon and was walked straight back.
The waiting area is kind of like a mini high school cafeteria. Kind of weird, but I wasn't there long, so no biggie.
My masseuse came out and seemed happy to be there. The "spa" is a big room with medical curtains separating each bed. My lady stood right outside and held the curtain closed as I got undressed. Kinda awkward to know she was right there. Shoulda just stayed in there with me if we were gonna be that close. lol
The massage itself was good and relaxing, but you can hear other patrons and massage therapists whispering to eachother throughout, which can be a bit distracting. Again, it's not an enclosed experience at all, so just zone out and bask in the lovely thought that this only costed you less than a tank of gas.
Another slightly awkward bit is leaving the therapist a written review while they're standing there at the end. Maybe they can formulate a way to make this a little more anonymous in the future...
I'll be back for some cheap tension relief.
