| - I'm not a big fan of TJ Maxx to begin with so don't expect a good review. They make themselves sound like an awesome discount store but it really is no better than a Ross, JCPenney, or even Target (that's across the street). The prices, I feel, are still too high.
For example, I went in there looking for a purse with a $20 budget and came up empty, but I went over to Target and found a cuter one, compared to the $120 ones at TJ Maxx, for $18. Also, the employees there always look at me like something smelly just walked in and don't really seem like they care if I buy something or not. I've never been greeted or directly talked to at this store like other sales associates at other stores. I know that when I used to work retail I tried my hardest to make a customer feel welcome.
I'm just asking for more affordable prices and personable service. All in all, not my favorite shopping place, and I probably won't be back. Unless I want to buy a cook book (the only thing I found that I liked).
