  • Had a wonderful experience that began before we even before we checked in! As our taxi was helping us to unload our luggage from the trunk, one of the evening concierges Adrian came outside to help us bring in our bags. Not sure if they strive to do this with every check-in, or just when it's quiet, or perhaps this was completely random, based on the concierge and time of night day. Either way, it was a pleasant surprise and kind of set a positive tone right away. From there, we check-in with another woman at a different front desk, and she was also helpful in asking what our plans were, suggesting some ideas, or tips if we needed to find things to do. After that, Adrian took over again, bringing us all the way to our room and providing a little walk-thru of everything: showed us where the ice machine was -- behind a sliding door down a different hallway, the hours of the gym (that's the floor we were on), showed us the buttons we could press to let the cleaning staff "Do Not Disturb" or a button to let them know when we wanted the room cleaned. Super convenient, rather than having to call it in. He also explained which drinks were free -- coffee, tea (had a Keurig) and small things of creamers/milk - only two of them, and the ones you might get from Mcdonalds. I've never stayed in a room with so much closet space and initially deemed it unnecessary as it took up extra space into the bedroom/living area. But as I hung up my clothes throughout the trip, I found it was pretty useful even for my short 3 night stay. Bathroom is not huge, but they pack in good things like a soaking tub, a standing glass shower (can only fit 1), and a sink/vanity with a lot of space and shelves. Functional and simple design. Two huge pluses: heated floors that worked almost as soon as you turned the switch, which felt like constant pampering, and the fact that they stock you with plenty of toilet paper. 3 rolls, in addition to the brand new one in use. It seems like a minor thing to notice, but hate when hotel rooms give you a half roll, and only one new one, when the things they give you are cheap no matter what. It wouldn't hurt to provide a bit more, so the guests aren't calling up for more every single night. Elevators always came quickly. We never had to wait. The couch chair was very comfy. I put together the chair and ottoman, and it became this very cozy lounge chair that you just sink right into. Soft and easy to fall asleep in. Was quiet inside the hotel the entire time, and I know there was at least one other occupied room on our floor. But never heard them coming or going, which is rare. I always hear other guests, or their children or doors slamming. Over here, nothing, not even any elevator noise or people going to the gym on our floor. Didn't hear much outside street noise either, as there were some restaurants across the street, and a huge parking lot with cars coming/going. I think late at night while trying to sleep, I occasionally heard trucks rumbling as we're not far from highways, but other than that, it was peaceful. Some small things I appreciated: the iPhone charging dock on one night stand, and the nightstand not only had a pull out drawer, but a pullout table, in case you wanted to put your drinks/food there while watching TV in bed, or your laptop. Very functional design and never saw that before! The shower and sink faucet both had strong water pressure. The bathroom sink was actually too strong as I wasn't able to find any sort of balance. For the most part, water ended up shooting everywhere while washing my hands as it would ricochet off my hands. The vanity/counter top got a lot of water on it. So it can be a bit messy if you have a lot of your toiletries or makeup on there. Towels were thick and long enough to wrap entirely around yourself, and they gave four large and plenty of small ones to use, even if it was only the two of us. The button to get the curtains to open/close was busted. But that's minor. Have dining options in the hotel - a cafe and a Chinese restaurant. Both menus are limited, and the Chinese restaurant menu doesn't seem that enticing. Not to mention overpriced.
