I was looking for a new OB/GYN because Valley Women for Women (whom I love!) stopped accepting my insurance. I work with all of the providers in this office and decided to make an appointment with Dr. Kale after a co-worker gave her glowing reviews. I arrived early for my new patient appointment and filled out all the paperwork. After waiting past my appointment time, I was called up to the desk and informed that Dr. Kale was in surgery at the hospital I work at and they had no idea when she would be in the office. They informed me I was welcome to wait (who knows how long I would have been there) or reschedule. I work in surgery so I understand that things happen, but double-booking is unacceptable to me. What is also unacceptable to me is the lack of follow-up. I would have reconsidered if the Dr. had personally called me to apologize when she was done with her surgeries and realized she missed all of her morning appointments. I will not be back to the practice nor will I recommend to anyone else. I was also warned by the front desk when I called to make the appointment "not to make an appointment and not show up like a lot of AHCCCS patients" do. I am not an AHCCCS patient but this comment was made to me before the receptionist knew what type of insurance I had.
