Our Christmas Eve tradition is to try a new fine restaurant. This year was Top of the World. While the view is spectacular, the food was 'meh' and the service well, to be told upon seating that the manager was pushing tables because the restaurant had over-booked just set the tone for the evening. The carpaccio was drenched in some type of cream sauce, the foie gras was dry, the pork belly on a bed of rice was actually the highlight of the whole meal. My husband did enjoy his sea bass, my daughter's filet was overcooked (how to you go from rare to well done I have no idea) son-in-law had the horseradish encrusted ribeye bu encrusted they mean a blob of horseradish on top, and I had the filet. Food was just on the side of being cold, not ever room temperature. I prefer the view from Binions.
