  • Well I'm on a donut review writing spree right now, so I may as well write about one of my top 3 donut places in Las Vegas. I dare say Donut Bar actually makes my top 3 donut places in North America too! (The other two being Blue Star donuts in Portland and Cartems Donuterie in Vancouver Canada) Why is Donut Bar so darn good? Donut standards keep going up, and these days, you can't just have a good donut. You need something that stands out to make your donut shop - 'worth a journey'. At Donut bar, they've got TWO things that I gladly journey out for - their ice cream donut, and their creme brulee donut. That's not even mentioning their other donuts (strawberry, vanilla bean, maple bacon) that are full of flavourful donuty goodness and excellent in their own right. Unlike Pinkbox, Donut bar closes when they run out of donuts. That's usually around noon? Depending on how picky you are about your donut options, come early. They only make about 25 of their ice cream donuts every day, and they usually aim to have those ready by 10. I know eating an ice cream cone at 10am in the morning feels a little strange, but it was worth it for me. I haven't had their horchata donut, but I've seen photos -- looks pretty amazing. As soon as I lose my donut weight I'm going right back to hunt for this donut!
