  • I brought 2 dogs in on a Groupon for teeth cleaning. Both were about 7 years old. Both dogs were only seen by a "Technician" who said the dog had 2 front teeth loose. The other dog was just missing teeth. I was informed that I would be getting a call later if they needed more work. Sure enough a few hours later I got the call I was dreading. One that one of the dogs not only had 2 loose teeth but 6 loose teeth and all should be pulled just incase they were abscessed. I asked about x-rays to see if they were abscessed they said that would be a extra $55 and they still might have to be pulled. Worried I asked "How is my dog going to eat her food with 6 missing teeth? The tech said a dog has 42 teeth she could just eat fine with NO teeth. I asked what the total was to pull the teeth and I was told $288. I asked why so much? I was told with pain meds and antibiotics, sutures and meds for later pain, that's why it cost so much....Worried and not sure what do like most of you would be at this point. I reluctantly agreed. Seriously regretting taking my dogs there because the same little dog had 2 back teeth that were abscessed and the vet a different animal hospital a few years back, called me himself and said while your dog is under for $70 more I recommend we pull these teeth while the dog is under. No extra charges for lidocaine, nerve block, extra $20 in pain meds to take home your dog you will probably never need cause your dog will be eating soft food the next day. I almost forgot the call I got saying they needed me to return after I picked up my dogs because they wrote the wrong dosage on the bottle of pain meds. Then the next day I got another call saying the dosage was correct on the bottle. Anyways, the other dog came out of there fine I guess. That's why I gave it 2 star review. I never got the second dreaded call, nor did I EVER get a call from the vet. Lesson learned.....I guess you get what you paid for and I got a toothless dog.
