| - I scheduled my driving test appointment 2 WEEKS in advance. I come on time, and the lady that was going to be in the car with me was pissed because apparently she's almost done with her shift, and since she'll be with me she'll be doing overtime. So she said "let me check in with my supervisor if I'm getting paid for this, because this is on my own time." & "I'm upset I'm not getting paid for doing this..." so I said that I can reschedule if she wants to leave that bad. I even gave her a gift card for a restaurant but she just shrugged her shoulders. Since my car was parked in the front lot, she told me to park in the back lot and she'll meet me outside. So I did, and I did, and I did. I waited in the car for 20 minutes and got worried, so I went inside to look for her and she wasn't there. When I went back out she was standing outside raising her voice, "I thought you were going to pick me up?????" Like what? Then she kept complaining how upset she was that she isn't going to get paid.
During the driving test, she was calm and nice. And also after, but the beginning was just unbelievable. She was mad at me for being at my appointment and basically saying it was my fault for her not being paid. I know this is the DMV, and not a lot of good things happen here. Plus, when I came here it was almost closing time and I understand that employees want to go home already. BUT PLEASE, at least show some common sense or kindness to all the people you see because it can make someone's day.
