| - Let me start out by saying I am...was... the biggest, most loyal Alchemy fan. Until tonight. I am basically obsessed with the Tinshack burger, see, and well, I am expecting see, and I have been craving this burger a LOT. I won't even consider going elsewhere for a burger. Until tonight!
A few weeks ago when I started craving this I ordered a well-done burger for takeout, doctor's orders, and got home to a medium rare burger :( (Even though I listened to my husband say it HAD to be well done, I am expecting, and so forth.) So... I cooked it some more at home. It was sad.
They gave me half off my next burger. I had them cut it in half so I could be sure it was well done before I left. I was happy.
Then tonight I ordered another one and if was medium-rare! DH said it was even more rare when he got there and he waited while they put it back on for more time. (What the heck?!) We had to drive all the way across town to get a new, well-done burger, as we had ordered it! This is a safety issue, I HAVE to have it well done, and he not only tells them that when he orders, he also, as I said, asks for it to be cut in half so he can check.
So we drove all the way back to the Alchemy, my once favorite place of all time to get a burger and they make me a new one. It is burnt, and I mean, really burnt. Char is not good for me or my little one. I am not much of a cook, but I CAN make a burger well done and not burnt. !
I am just really sad and disappointed. I feel this place, again, my favorite place, has no pride, respect, or standards for their customer. It just takes a little time and a little care to make a burger well done and not burnt. What they served me in unacceptable- not once, not TWICE, but three times. I went from biting into rare meat to eating char tonight and it does not make me happy. I am done, and I was a HUGE fan. The hugest.
