  • Damn do I love Total Wine! And this one is dangerously close to home. I say that because I can take a good walk down here, indulge myself and stumble back home without ever needing to get behind the wheel. Safe, yes! But dangerous because I am in fact a beer-cap collector. I'm gathering up unique singles of caps to one day cover a desk top with them. Total Wine has been the place to go for these grabs. Every time I visit I leave with a self-assembled six-pack of never-before-seen caps on never-before-seen brewskis. Prices range from unbelievably good to predictably steep. Yes, they do carry wine and such as the name suggests. I drink both wine and beer but have a preference for their beer selection. Others tout the wine choices so I imagine it's good in that department. There are other unique items like tea-mixed sake brews or canned red wines (believe it I saw one!). They have lots of good choices for straight-up Japanese sakes too. Most of all I'm just happy to find a beer I've never tried which I can grab one bottle of for a taste at just $1.50. Prost! Kampai!
