| - I often use Yelp to find great businesses and to review my experiences so when my husband and I wanted a pet door installed, we used JGM Pet Doors, based on their raving Yelp reviews. In OUR experience, we cannot in good faith give them a good review. Their quality, customer service and our overall experience were absolutely terrible. I've been waiting several MONTHS to write this review, as it took MONTHS for our experience to finally end with them. I've told my family and friends to NEVER use this company and they all were absolutely appalled when we shared with them our experience.
We wanted a custom install and were quoted $500 and put down a deposit of $250. For the price, we expected great quality AND great customer service. I personally spoke with the owner, Greg, multiple times as the dog door we discussed and the install were both done poorly. After the first install visit, 2 days later, we found the dog door had fallen off. I called Greg multiple times and left messages to let him know this happened. When he finally returned my calls, he blamed it on our dog hitting it and knocking it off. First of all, we wanted to get the door BEFORE the dog so I told him we don't even have a dog so this wasn't possible. He never apologized about HIS company's crappy design or the fact that the door had been poorly installed. They come out again, a few weeks later and the design is poorly executed YET AGAIN. We were so disappointed with the quality that my husband and I both called Greg multiple times and left messages saying this wasn't the quality we had wanted and we wanted our deposit back. Greg finally returned our calls and said they would be out to get the door and refund our deposit. About a month later, we finally get someone out to get the door and refund our deposit.
Greg, I hope you read this because you and your company need serious improvements. We were never rude or upset with you over the phone when we had to call you so many times, since it was so hard reaching you. Now, since our experience is over with your company, I hope you will learn from this experience, as my husband and I definitely have. You told us another company would never be able to provide what we wanted. Let me assure you that we have found that company and at a LOWER price with GREAT customer service!! I honestly don't know how you and your company have so many amazing reviews because this was probably the worst experience with a company and owner I've ever encountered.
