| - I'm vacillating between 3 and 4 stars with this place. There are a number of things I like about it, so I'll start with those. This coffeehouse is in an old farmhouse that is one of the oldest houses in our town. There is a main room with a fireplace, game tables, a sofa and comfy chairs, so it's a very inviting and relaxing place to spend some time. Every first Friday night of the month they host an open mic night, and the other Friday nights they have live local music. And they're right off the Montour Trail, so you can stop there for a cup with friends after a walk on the trail. They even leave a water dish out for dogs during the summer months. For all of this, I truly appreciate and like Farmhouse, as it provides a community meeting place in an area that doesn't have many sidewalks, or even a real town center. They also have frozen smoothies this time of year, and offer tea, hot chocolate or iced hot chocolate, hot cider and bottled water. You can get a continental style breakfast here, and they have pre-made croissant sandwiches and soup. Snacks today were cookies and scones, and, although I did not partake, they looked delicious. You can even get an ice cream cone here. My biggest gripe is with the brewed coffee, which is just ok. They really love flavored coffee here, and offer at least two different flavors a day, sometimes more. They have dedicated and labeled containers, so the reason even the unflavored coffee tastes slightly flavored must be because it's all brewed through the same machine and drips through the same funnel. I don't like flavored coffee and order a regular cup of joe when I go here, and it always tastes a little like hazelnut or whatever. After another one of these today, I've decided to just order an espresso drink next time I go, and they do offer the full menu of these. So I'll go with three stars, as coffee is the point of a coffeehouse, and theirs is just not that good.
