After eating bagels from the Bagel House for about 10 years, I only eat bagels from the Bagel House. I can no longer eat bagels from the grocery store or The Great Canadian Bagel because my standards have been set so high. The bagels are best fresh, as they are extra chewy and delicious when fresh. I live in Peterborough during the school year, so whenever I am home I go to the Bagel House and get 3 or 4 dozen bagels to bring back with me (my roommates hate me because I take up the whole freezer). I have had a poppyseed bagel with cream cheese from the bagel house almost every day for lunch for the past 6 years. I never get sick of them. They are even good plain. They are quite cheap too. It's about $7.50 for a dozen bagels. The service is friendly and fast. I want to try their pastries someday too but I have never gotten around to it. My only complaint is that the deliciousness of these bagels will make you hate other bagels.
