Our bikes have been sitting in storage for quite some time, so we needed some new tubes, chain lube, etc. Walked into the Bike Shop and were blown away.
Friendly faces and employees instantly asked if we needed help with anything (place was oddly packed for a Monday at 11am). Tubes were cheap (6 bucks) and the kid working there asked if I just wanted to put them in and he did so for free.
We were gonna get new tubes for my gal's bike but the guy checked for leaks, said there weren't any, filled it up, and told us it would save us a few bucks to hold off on it. We bought a few spare tubes anyways just in case, but it was nice he didn't try to sell crap just to sell it.
While ringing us up he asked if we were new around town and gave us a map of all the local bike trails and streets with bike lanes. He also gave us some info on cycling groups and longer rides for weekends. (I really wish I caught the kid's name, early 20s with a red/orange tattoo on the back of his right arm). Super nice guy.
Anyways. The place is affordable, friendly, and doesn't try to sell you crap you don't need. Us and our friends are all gonna probably head back for tuneups in the coming weeks just because of the service. Definitely our new bike shop.
