  • We LOVE the mission. It is one of our favorite places to go for guac and sangria. That being said - yesterdays experience could not have been more disappointing. We were seated outside - which was great. 20 minutes between when we were seated and when someone actually spoke to us. 5 minutes later, the water arrives. At that point a DIFFERENT waitress then our own comes up and can sense our being annoyed and very nicely asks if she can help. She takes our drink order. 10 more minutes go by and she again comes up and says "no one has brought you your drinks"...to which we say no, and finally several minutes later our regular waitress comes up with the drinks (we are now over 30 minutes into this ordeal) and smiles and acts like nothing has happened. I overheard two other tables complaining of the same - it was 3 in the afternoon - its not like they were overly busy! Outside tables were full in the front of the restaurant but about 40% full inside and outback. So as we were frustrated, we discussed how one of the unfornate things about YELP is that managers of restaurants are not given the opportunity to fix things at the time of the event. So we talk to the manager and let him (BRYAN ADAMS) what has transpired. He appologizes and says he wants to do something for us. We say that isnt really necessary, as that is not the point of the complaint. He insists, and says he will speak to our server and adjust our bill. We proceed to pay the unadjusted bill when it arrives because just like our server, he does NOTHING about this. Note to the mission....when you are paying $12 for a bowl of guac, no matter how good it is, people are going to stop coming if you cant get it right. The only saving grace for the MIssion yesterday was the younger friendlier waitress that seemed to care more than the waitress or the manager.
