| - If you have a choice in youth sports, do yourself and your kid a favor and DO NOT sign up with NYS! My son has played youth football for 6 years now and this is by far the worst experience ever! There are too many issues to list here. One of the main issues was our team could only play the same two other teams the entire spring season because apparently the east doesn't get along with the west. Not a good experience at all for the kids. Then, promises are made but not followed through, putting our kids at danger. There is no organization what so ever when it comes to the games and monitoring what is going on or who is playing, I could've dressed out and played and no one would've ever known! They even had teams playing with kids 2 and 4 years older then the limit allowed and it took them 4 games to realize this! Plus one of our players suffered a broken collarbone while playing with those kids who shouldn't have been allowed on the field! I recommend going elsewhere with your child! AYF is a great organization for your children. This is suppose to be all about the kids but not with NYS! Kids are taught to play dirty and it is acceptable! NYS is a classless organization and I will never allow my 2 younger kids to play any sport through them! If I could give negative stars, I would've! Please save your child and go elsewhere! All NYS cares about is the money! There are a whole lot of people who feel the same way. Good luck to you and your child if you decide to go with NYS!
Update in response to last message: that's funny how one team has 23 players one week when nobody was checked in then the next time we play them they actually go off their roster and have only 14 suited up? And the game we previously played them, they had more than 4 kids run and jump into a vehicle when the nys official questioned what was going on. And no game since the start of the season has there been any players checked in or books looked at until we played this past Saturday. So no, nys is not doing their job and you would have no clue Shawn, because you have not been to any of our high school unweighted division games to oversee what is going on. The nys teenagers at the games who are there for whatever reason, are obviously not doing their job either. This is something you have known about because I have the email chains from parents and coaches to and from you. My son has played for nys for a total of 3 seasons and we have played teams from the east side. Are you delirious? My son is a player on the scorpions. Regardless if you and the coaches came to an agreement to only play with the three teams, we parents had no clue until registration was paid. By then a commitment was made and our players wanted to play. They had already sacrificed too much time not to play. You, sir, are a joke along with the organization. All you're trying to do is cover up a disaster and act like nothing ever happened. Pathetic. I don't need to email or contact you, I've done that already to know response. (I have that email saved as well) It is a waste of time, so I will put it out here for all to read if they please.
