A word of warning: I am a Montreal bagel snob. I was born and raised in Montreal and nothing in the whole wide world compares to a fresh out of the wood-burning oven bagel from Fairmount Bagel. Nothing. In the whole wide world.
That said, St. Urbain's bagels are pretty damn good, and the best I've found in Toronto thus far. If you're going to buy a dozen bagels, as others have already mentioned, it's pretty expensive. But if you want a cheap and easy lunch, as I did earlier today, you can get any bagel with cream cheese for 2 bucks flat. Just be sure to ask them to go easy on the spread unless you want a whole container's worth on your bagel.
