  • I called up to have a toilet wax ring changed out on my 2nd story townhouse. I have changed out many of these and it is a quick and easy repair. The office said she didn't think it would be a very expensive repair. They came out and charged me $230 for 20 minutes worth of work and a $4. part. Yes, I told him to go ahead and do it because it had to be done. I felt like I was backed into a corner. That is excessive. What ever happened to plumbers that charge an hourly rate? I will never use them again or recommend them to my friends.
