| - My sister came home from the salon and her hair had NOT been butchered, so I decided to see her new stylist as my amazing one at Redbloom is on maternity leave.
The place is a bit confusing to find, but once I did, Petra was so so SO nice and apologized she couldn't hear the bell - I didnt ring a bell, so my fault, not hers.
Anyways she sat me down and sat in front of me and asked me what I liked, and what I didn't like. I had never been asked that before, what I didn't like...well, hell, I knew all the things done to my hair I didn't like, so that was easy. Even though I came in for a trim, she spent a full hour on my hair. And she did what i asked for, a trim. She said she listens to clients when they say 'only an inch' because she wants them to trust her and not be traumatised by the experience. She said you can always cut more off if need be after, instead of being stuck after cutting too much hair off.
I found her very engaging, chatty and SO kind. I even hugged her when I left because I liked her that much, and she came in for the hug first, so if I hadn't, it would've been awkward. Just kidding! I wanted to hug her anyways, she's just that type of person.
She is also very generous for clients giving her referrals. Mia now gets $20 off her next cut when she books.
She uses Moroccan Oil products, which I love. So for $45, you can't get any better than this. I recommend seeing Petra if you want a stylist who actually listens.
