  • If I could give this place no stars, and a "run like the wind" rating, I would. I usually go to DV Nails across the street, but because they have a longer wait I decided to try out Pretty Nails. Right when we walked in, the manager (the only man in the salon) barked at my friend and I asking what we needed. My friend opted for a pedicure and I asked for a full set of acrylic nails. He told my friend to go sit down and wait while he did my nails. Those of you who get acrylic nails done know that it takes at least half an hour for a decent set. He took 10 minutes. At one point, he even launched the nail file at my face because he was filing so fast. He picked the nail file back up without saying a word. He asked me to pay, applied gel on my nails, and I sat at the front to wait for my friend. I finally got a chance to take a good look at the atrociousness that was my manicure. None of my nails were the same size, and so short I might as well have not gotten tips at all. I'm assuming it was because he was filing them so fast. Two of my nails were totally crooked. The acrylic had formed bubbles. There were small hairs, HAIRS, embedded in the acrylic on my nails. Not one nail was completely coated in acrylic; most of them had gaps with none at all. I asked to speak to him, and he walked over looking annoyed. I pointed out the problems with my nails and he said they looked beautiful, but he'd fix them if I wanted. At this point I told him I didn't want them fixed I just wanted a refund. He said he would only give me 5 dollars off. At this point two other women walked in behind me, witnessing this whole mess. It wasn't until I turned around, showed them my nails, and told them not to get their nails done here, that he agreed to give me a refund. He told me he had to take them off for me though. I sat down to get my nails taken off, while all of the women working rolled their eyes, gave me nasty looks and I assume were talking about me to each other. Because he was taking my nails off at the same time he was doing another manicure, he did it so fast that he took parts of MY REAL NAILS off, to the point of near bleeding. When he said he was done, he tossed my hands back at me, said "are you happy now?" and walked away. There was still acrylic left on the nails, and my hands were covered in it from soaking. I ran back to my beautiful ladies at DV Nails right away, and they fixed the whole mess. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back.
