(NOTE: Rating is only for the Graveyard specials at the diner upstairs. I have no intention of staying at a room here, no matter how attractive the ladies holding syringes.) This place brings back many good memories of bowling at Jillian's ("I didn't get a strike! Take a shot!") after a reggae show or First Friday (Fishbone and Veruca Salt? gittouttahere!) THEN needing some greasy $2.99 steak-sausage-hash and eggs to take the edge off.
I don't know if anyone ever orders that $50 monstrosity of a burger proudly displayed in photographs on the walls...but then again I haven't been down there in almost a year now. There's just something special about Downtown in the wee hours...you run into eloquent bums who wax philosophic about their time spent driving forklifts for a major company that folded and how now that's all they know how to do and if they got their hands on one again, they would go on a forklifting rampage.
