| - My family dog only ever went to a vet when he was hurt or sick. And we all know Vet Care has been known to have a price tag.
Bishop, my mini schnauzer, is about 13-14 years old. He broke the base of his toe nail going up stairs. Typically, this would be an easy fix, but Bishop has a severe heart murmur, has not been neutered, and is old in age. It was complicated.
The staff was thorough with diagnostic screens, surgery and anesthesia options, and considering his longevity. I always thought old dogs couldn't get neutered because it was risky. The vet advised me of the health benefits like reducing his risks of testicular and prostate cancer. She scheduled his treatment plan over a few days which gave me time to decide on what was best.
Dr. Pulliam was super cool, personable and quick to address any concerns I'd had. Their office has great communication and very nice staff that work really hard. Bishop made it through surgery great! Skill definitely shines through when simple things get tricky or difficult, and Dr. Pulliam & her team rocked it.
Overall it's a very nice vet office and area. I like that they have great, healthy, food/snack/supplement options for dogs/cats in the waiting area.
Lastly, the prices are affordable! Diagnostic imaging is a little higher than other services but that's expected with machines, and additional healthcare professionals being necessary. They follow up and really listen to you. I am very glad to say Bishop officially has a vet to see for regular appointments and care!
