  • As a girl raised on hockey, first with the Red Wings in Detroit and then with the Blackhawks in Chicago, what trip to Toronto would be complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame??!! First of all, it is located in a beautiful old historic bank building. That alone made me happy. But when you couple that with all of the jerseys, movies, things for the kiddies to do and trophies, you suddenly are transported into a multi dimensional world of all things hockey. If you have kids and want to participate in the puck shooting and other things, you may want to go early or late in the day. We were there late in the day with about 2 hours til closing and the lines were not long for the kids. Know that to get in, you have to go down to the lower level of the mall, buy a ticket (I think it was like $14 or something) and when you leave, you exit through the gift shop. And logistically its easy to get to by car or the subway. And before you enter the building, check out the "mall" that it is in. It's like they took a block of buildings and enclosed them all under this huge domed roof. Pretty cool even if it has nothing to do with hockey!
