| - Hopi Animal Hospital is the BEST!!! :)
We have taken our two old cats AND our new cat there and there only!!!
The doctors and techs (I don't know if they are all still there) worked on all our cat's individual needs to make them happy and comfortable while being treated at this vet!
Examples of why I gave this office 5 stars:
- When our cat Kenya was too nervous to be on the exam table, the tech examined and treated Kenya on the floor as much as she could (which was a lot!), which Kenya preferred and felt happier on the ground.
- When our cat Sydney had an abscess on her left front paw, the tech was very gentle, cheerful, calming, and efficient while lancing and soaking the abscess, and Sydney was healed within a few days.
- When Kenya was displaying signs of stomach issues and feline diabetes, the tech ran tests (while being gentle, efficient, cheerful, and calming, despite the horrible news. She delivered the sad news with genuine sorrow and a care plan at home.) very well, and did indeed discover that Kenya was getting old, and had severe dehydration and diabetes. They sent us home with instructions on how to start a saline IV, medicines, and brochures on Kenya's medical issues, and didn't leave our side until we knew how to put the IV needle in.
- When it was time for Sydney and Kenya to go home to God, the vet tech allowed plenty of goodbyes, showed genuine sadness and even almost cried, offered to put their ashes in urns, and even pressed Sydney's paw into plaster of Paris and wrote "SYDNEY" under her paw print.
Then we got cards (one for Sydney and one for Kenya), that had rainbows, glitter, and angels with a sweet and uplifting message inside, plus a handwritten note from the cat's veterinarian.
- When we got our new cat Penelope, we got a "New Kitten Bag", complete with toys, books on cats, sample food, a cat toothbrush and chicken-flavored cat toothpaste, and treats!
- When Penelope got a stomach bug, the vet took her in on the same day, and sent us home with antibiotics (that worked!!!) and instructions on how to help animals swallow.
- When we take Penelope in for her yearly checkup, the vets gently give her her vaccines, check her out, and walk us out the door with a genuine smile.
This veterinarian office is THE BEST, and it is 1.5 minutes away from our house!!! I would DEFINITLY recommend this office for ALL pets, from birth to landing in Heaven!!!
- When a pet comes into this vet, after the appointment or checkup, the vet tech calls and asked how your pet is doing!
They do have weekend hours, and do surgery and X-Rays on site. They also have pet boarding, and prescribe pet medications.
For a 24-Hour emergency veterinarian, I would recommend going somewhere else, ONLY because this vet is not open 24/7.
5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!! :)
