The Introductory class at Sewing Studio was my first 'real' sewing class. I say real because even though my mom tried to teach me some basic sewing tips (like hemming, sewing buttons etc) that might come in handy, I was never interested in learning to use a Sewing machine!
Until now that is!
I took a weekday intro class with Becky this summer and I have to say that its because of Becky's very friendly and laid back attitude as a teacher that I came away from this class really loving sewing! I missed the intro class and she generously sent me the material and didn't push to purchase a make up class which are pretty expensive. Even though the amount of material covered during the first few classes (including all funky names of different stiches) can seem so overwhelming, Becky was very patient with each and every on us and full of tips when we made errors. Very supporting environment and a handy studio filled with supplies makes the whole thing so easy. The projects are systematic in teaching you all the steps until you final 'skirt' project. I love my skirt and was able to complete all the projects even with two missed classes. I fully intend to take an alteration class in the fall....find have to find things that need altering!
Keep up the great work, you girls!
