  • Although sorta tourist trappy, Sunrise Farms does a really nice job combining local farm fresh goods with a well-organized, well-stocked gift shop. What an interesting seasonal mix of fresh peaches, cucumbers, canned salsa, apple cider, scented candles, home decor, soup mixes, local maple syrup and veggies, even a small deli counter in the back! Keep in mind Sunrise Farms is not a full-fledged vegetable market with every veggie you can imagine like you'd find at your typical world-connected grocery. Rather they feature what's available and nearby. One positive takeaway I like is that the store feels warm, inviting and very comfortable - no clutter, no dusty-old shelves, and lighting adequate enough to see the items you're perusing. (Some gift stores lack the latter which only makes you want to get out sooner.) We stop here every now and again as we pass through Burton on 87 especially when we have a hankering for fresh apple cider (and spice packs) in late fall.
