Ok so I'll admit I have a soft spot for bakeries, especially patisseries.
Butter Baker is a tiny spot located in what was old Chinatown. (When I say old, I mean like the 60s). They serve traditional french pastries. So far I've had the Caramel Almond Brioche, Fig Custard Danish, and the Pear Tart. All were delicious, not 'lardy' or overly sweet. You could easily see and taste the individual layers of the pastry in the danish and tart. The brioche 'cake' had a generous portion of sliced almonds and was also light in texture. The 'bake' in all three was perfect. Price, imo, is reasonable (especially compared to what's available in the Queen west strip).
Service friendly, establishment clean.
