| - I'm rating this a four star purely based on Indigo locations and not Indigo as a vendor. I do shop at Indigo when I want instant gratification and new releases, but it's pointless to argue that Indigo is the most price effective place to get books. It stings to spend upwards of $100 for 4 books, especially when their pricing is marked up much more than the US-CA conversion warrants.
Having said all that, as far as Indigo goes, this is a great location. I've been able to find books here that have evaded me at other Indigo locations around the city. The layout upstairs is pretty great-I appreciate all the room a lot. It's tidy, clean and airy. Their genres are all amply stocked, at least in the areas I like to shop (arts & letters section is pretty stupendous, graphic novels, feminist/queer/culture, science, fiction, history-can't speak to sections like the YA, romance, mystery, etc.) and it's a great one stop shop, if you do happen to find yourself at Eaton's.
So again, Amazon is obviously the more cost-effective solution if you're an avid reader, but if you happen to find yourself in the area and are looking for the most updated selection, this is a great place to stop in.
