| - Amazing bread. Crusty, hot baguette, served whole, in a paper bag.
Chestnut soup was good. Salads were larger than expected, and better than expected, too. (e.g., careful construction of warm dressing, delicate croutons, very fresh ingredients) Marinated chicken had a delicious skin, but the herbs didn't soak all the way through and it was bland inside. Filet mignon was fine. Frites were so, so good! Steak au poivre was too thin. Mashed potatoes were boring; garlic spinach were fine.
French wine selection, unsurprisingly.
Service was prompt and obnoxious, which is the best that can be expected for a French restaurant with an image to maintain. :-)
Prices reasonable for a restaurant on the Strip with a shtick. However, holiday menu price is NOT reasonable.
Note: even with a dinner reservation, you need to come early and put your name on the list to sit outside for a view of the Bellagio fountains.
