| - The Good:
- Fun atmosphere, from the pool to the lawn games, to the skeeball inside the Oasis
- Deluxe Double Room was decent size
- Janelle via email discussion
The Bad:
- Music till 4:30 am despite being warned it would play till 3 or 3:30 am
- Ear plugs were too cheaply made, did not work, maybe it's because we were given a room facing the courtyard/ lawn where the DJ was playing music
- Bathroom was a little small, but it's no big deal
- No email response from manager
The Ugly:
- Yellow stains on the bedsheet along with other dark colored stains
- Rude customer service agent during check-in
- Dirty floor in the elevator
1. The only pleasant aspect of your establishment is Janelle, who at least TRIED to help us get a room furthest away from the noise. We had discussed this via email. She has excellent customer service.
When we arrived at 3pm check-in on Sat., June 24th, I encountered a rude desk agent. I did not catch her name but when I tried to explain to her what Janelle and I discussed, she rudely cut me off mid-sentence. She told me that it's first-come, first serve, which I understand (even in spite of my discussion with Janelle). But for her to look annoyed and cut me off mid-sentence is just plain rude, disrespectful, and no disregard for customer service. This agent did not confirm her name, so I don't know if it was Rose (whom I emailed that morning) or Janelle (I sure hope not because SHE seemed pleasant and helpful at least via email), but that desk agent on June 24th 3pm should get a lesson in being polite to paying customers.
Secondly, when I tried to email the manager Terran Phyfer to find out the name of the agent the day I checked out, I did not get a response.
Thirdly, going back to that desk agent during check-in, she said the music would play until 3 or 3:30 am. The music played until 4:30 am. You should update the info you provide to your reservations agents, on your website, on yelp, on tripadvisor and all other places. Needless to say, I did not get peaceful sleep. I tossed and turned despite the complimentary ear plugs.
That brings me to my last point... Finally, the complimentary ear plugs. We appreciated them a lot. Too bad they didn't work. I tested them out when the music was blaring against our window facing the courtyard. It made no significant difference whether or not I wore these ear plugs. It sounded exactly the same honestly. I should have brought heavy duty headphones.
