I went into Redemption Psychiatry Arrowhead to meet with Barbara Browder for depression/anxiety. The front desk staff was extremely nice. Barbara Browder is not so pleasant to deal with! When I walked into her office I was treated with no regard/sympathy for my extreme depressed feelings. She came off with a very aggressive rude approach. I went into the place thinking I was going to get helpful treatment for my well-being and I was hoping to leave with a new treatment plan from her. I ended up leaving in tears with unremarkable/unneeded comments, and being told to leave her office and that she wont help me, because my emotions were getting the best of me. Since I have trouble dealing with my emotions already I expected more of a soft understanding. Typically, dealing with patients with my type of illness, it is easier for us to cope when we are given the opportunity to explain our feelings and doubts, she allowed none of that. I feel she as a Psychiatrist, should have an understanding in how to patiently treat someone with my illness, not make me feel worse about myself.
