  • Cartel is a great Phoenix cup of coffee. I have to admit, when you're in NYC, SF, LA, in particular-- you're exposed to some of the best coffee in the world. When you're in Phoenix, however; Cartel is a quite decent local roastery. My go-to drink is a Gibraltar. If you have a palate for smooth espresso and you're able to diffentiate quality from garbage.... you will appreciate this place :) Ambiance is great too at all locations. I'm not giving it 5 starts because their restrooms are horrendous. Regardless of gender, I prefer Male & Female restrooms to be separate. Men simply are not as clean as women when it comes to restroom cleanliness. I honestly think they would draw in more people and have even more repeat customers if they invested in revamping the restrooms at both the Tempe & Scottsdale locations.
