I ask a simple question: how can the general tso's chicken dish be sweet? General Tso's is meant to be spicy or at least have a little heat. If spice/heat scares you, feel free to order the general tso's at Baoding. There's none to be found!
I decided to stop in for lunch to-go on a Saturday afternoon because I had a craving after strolling the aisles of the nearby Home Goods. I walked in and placed my order. While I waited, I was very kindly offered some tea by the hostess. It was a cold day so I took the hostess up on the offer and it hit the spot.
Once my order was ready, it was brought right to me and I was able to stock up on whatever condiments and utensils I needed. I was very much looking forward to enjoying the general tso's but completely thrown off by the sweetness that I didn't finish it.
My dish was part of the lunch special so it came to a total of $9 (plus tax). I really would love to know what's considered "good" at Baoding because this didn't do it for me at all. What was lacking in flavor at Baoding, the customer service fully rose to the occasion.
