  • Warning to fellow cosumers: READ THIS BEFORE CALLING PRECISION GARAGE DOOR SERVICE Precision OVER CHARGED ME 4 (FOUR) TIMES THE GOING RATE I just found out that I was charged 4 (four) times the going rate for new springs. All their talk about being the best is true. The best at ripping off the customers that were counting on them and unfortunately that fell for all the "we are the best" garbage. I was at the mercy of these people because I was ignorant of the general product prices and I fell for the hype and fluff on their website. I failed to do the consumer research and fell for their alleged top notch service reviews hook line and sinker. I'm chagrined to admit this but I gave those people $1,800 for new springs. No new opener, no new garage door JUST DOOR SPRINGS. EIGHTEEN HUNDRED HUNDRED DOLLARS All this after I explained to them that at that time I needed to be extra careful about spending money for extra or unnecessary items. They were very friendly and they assured me that I was paying the lowest amount for springs . Lower than their competitors they told me in their cheerful way. Three ways to Save yourself from these types if bottom feeders: 1. Do research on the product in general including, of course the average cost, across the industry not just for one company some additional research such as getting several quotes(free quotes only) and Finally; 2. Make the time to do 3. DON'T CALL PRECISION GARAGE DOORS. Once they are at your house, amicable and all smiles, it becomes that much easier to fall for their well practiced hustle. This message is from a once ignorant fellow consumer who learned the hard way. Because you are reading this now so you have no excuse to be as ignorant as I was. Wish I would have seen a review like this before I called.
