  • Just checked in earlier and so far it's been awful...waited an hour to check in as no rooms were available. No one gave me the Internet code so I called down and the woman told me my Hilton Honors wasn't put on my reservation. Ok, so not my fault. I was never able to get my phone to logon to their wifi...& never had a problem anywhere else in the past. Did get my computer logged on. Then some guy walked into my room. No knock. No nothing. Then I tried to use the room phone to make a local call since my phone isn't getting service here, no dice on that either. So I call down and the same woman tells me that's because my phone hasn't been turned on. Ok...still nothing to do with me. Just make it work. I tell her that she might want to tell the employees here not to walk into guests rooms as some man walked into my room, no knock, nothing. She says: "Who walked into your room? A construction worker?" Well how should I know who walked into my room? Clearly it was someone with a key who is an employee of some sort who thinks it's perfectly fine to walk into my room. Then I discovered that the door wouldn't close when I tried to leave so maybe it was open when the guy walked into my room...I didn't do anything to the lock but the deadbolt wouldn't go back into the door when walking out of it so I had to fiddle with that for awhile. According to another reviewer they had this same lock problem back in 2013. Guess Doubletree didn't feel this was an issue that needed to be fixed. Went downstairs to leave the bldg and discovered that they had decided to tear up the entire lobby while I stayed here today. I went down to leave the bldg and couldn't figure out how to get out of the bldg to the parking lot in the front since they had sanders and jackhammers going ripping up tile and plastic covering the entire lobby as no one warned me that this would be happening and there wasn't a sign at all anywhere letting anyone know that you had to basically yell at the construction workers to let you through so I wandered around the bldg for a good five minutes until another guest told me how to get out of the bldg. WOW...really...?!?! & to top it off the toilet ran all night long until I finally got out of bed in the middle of the night to jiggle the stupid handle...so much for a good nights sleep even...
