RPM was pleasant before I hired them to manage my unit. I had a personal friend who wanted to rent my unit and I asked him to deal with RPM. RPM did not consider him a viable tenant although he paid a deposit to them. It took him more than two weeks to get his deposit back. RPM decided on a couple with 2 children. It was fine and things were going well until the last month of the lease I decided to renew the lease another year and informed RPM so that they dont have to give notice to the tenant. They informed the tenant in writing anyhow and charged me $100.00. Ah, well. The tenant renewed the lease for another year; I decided to sell my unit and as soon as RPM received a copy of the listing, they immediately deducted $225 from my account for breach of contract. Listing is a breach but the agent had not yet put the uinit on the market because of missing information. RPM already got their money, they are still holding my keys and the rest of my money and informed me I wont get the "package" till Sept. 21. why they have to have my keys or the deposit from the tenant when my contract had been terminated, i have no idea. now, i need information about my tenant and they are slow to return my call. In essence, I have to chase after them to do the right thing. I wanted the transfer to occur seamlessly but it is not happening.
I would not hire them. That is the bottom line.
