| - ate here this week - i am a local here in Las Vegas - and i am sorry - but the food here was NOT GOOD AT ALL
tasteless, bland, under seasoned, undercooked
i personally had the lobster which was $50 - without a doubt - THE WORST LOBSTER I HAVE EVER EATEN
that is pretty sad
i ordered it grilled, which came with no seasoning, no butter, nothing - the lobster was incredibly tiny and hard to believe it could possibly be 1.5 lbs as described in the menu - i have eaten lobster my entire life - and have never had one so small or so bad - the egg roe was overkill and still in the shell - the claws had obviously been steamed (rather, boiled) and were dripping wet with absolutely no flavor - even with the grilling of the remainder of this tiny lobster - it was undercooked and flavorless
the side was some sort of supposed risotto - i assume - but it was cold - barely warm and tasted like water - nothing - no flavor and horrible consistency
did not eat
i also ordered the heirloom tomato salad with "homemade" mozzarella - there was one itty bitty slice - who could possibly taste if it were "homemade" or not?
at best - it was also just OK
i make a better salad at home with a store bought fresh mozzarella and heirloom tomatoes - that i select - and i serve enough for a normal person to enjoy a small salad plate
the portions are incredibly tiny - this is not tapas - but expect tapas sized plates & portions
lobster: $50
heirloom salad: $16
one drink: $28
even though i am a local and i understand that food on the strip is exorbitantly priced - i still expect that when we do decide to partake in dinner on the strip, it actually be halfway good for the prices charged
$200 + tip for dinner for us both - we had no drinks with dinner - that would have made it at least $250-$300 - crazy prices for low quality mediocre food
it was not
will never return
highly mediocre quality and taste - i could do better at home
the service was NOT "top notch" as described - my waiter grabbed my fork with his hand while moving my salad plate (DID NOT OFFER TO REPLACE OR APOLOGIZE IN ANY WAY) and then when i asked what was in the lobster shell (because never in my life have i seen such an abundance of lobster roe) he pointed his finger at my food and practically touched it - IT WAS RIDICULOUS - waiters serving in this environment should have more training, class, manners, and respect for the patrons and their food on their plates
i didn't even like our table - which was next to a hallway with open wood bars where you can hear people talking and heading out for a night of partying. REAL CLASSY BELLAGIO. i realize this is a design flaw, but surely patrons paying hundreds for meals expect a little class & privacy to enjoy it
obviously the people posting these reviews have EXTREMELY LOW STANDARDS for food & service
we do not
sorry - but i really have nothing good to say about this restaurant, and we will not return
***I WROTE THIS REVIEW SOME TIME AGO - BUT FOR SOME REASON IT NEVER POSTED - NOW THE RESTAURANT IS CLOSED - I WONDER WHY!!!***
