| - This is the perfect place to unleash your inner FOB (Fresh Off the Boat) or if you simply want Filipino grocery items.
RANDOM:
It's like a mini Filipino mall with the Chow King and Jollibee (both Filipino fast food chains) stuffed inside the building. There's also "skin whitening" products for those who are stuck with a colonial mentality, a cell phone kiosk, and rice cookers. This is also the perfect place to snatch those quintessential "Yan Yans", shrimp chips, flip-flops (used for spanking), stew mixes, fish sauce, and brooms - basically ANYTHING Filipino can be found here.
The prices here are a tad steeper than its Southern California locations but I wasn't surprised since moving here. Also, this place is somewhat of a tourist trap for those craving Filipino food/items.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Employees are polite ("yes sir, ma'am")
- Fresh Fish, Shrimp, Squid, and other seafood (some items can be fried on the spot)
- Lots of MSG sold here (which I love)
UH-OH:
- It can be super busy at times
- Consequently, it's hard to find parking
- You might bump into your Tita and she might talk shit
