| - I stayed here for a weekend with my fiancée and had a decent experience here. I booked it because it had one of the best rates in Montreal and I originally had thought it had included breakfast (which other website said it did and when I got to the hotel they said it was not...). I was disappointed with the breakfast but it wasn't a deal breaker. Our room was very nice and were impressed with the room itself. The noise in the halls does carry and you can hear other people slamming their doors from your room; there were people beside us basically yelling in their room but we couldn't hear them in our own luckily. In terms of noise too, the windows do little to block out the sound of planes that are taking off (THIS WAS VERY LOUD and occurred every few minutes).
The staff did a poor job of mentioning how parking works as it is paid parking and you have to validate it at the front desk so you can come in and out of the parking lot whenever you want. The first time we left the parking lot and the first time coming back were BRUTAL. I assumed I had to pay with my credit card every time we came out so I attempted to pay and the gate never opened. After finally, giving up I pressed the help button and the gate opened. Coming in was brutal because I thought I could use my validated ticket to go back in, this was wrong! I pressed help and no one helped, pressing the help button just opened the exit gate...I took another ticket and ended up with many by the end of my stay.
The parking was by far the biggest nuisance about this place, they should abolish the paid parking and just take down the license plates of those who are staying. We didn't have all that great of an experience with the staff either, they weren't the most friendly or helpful during our stay.
TIPS: If you are parking, take a ticket, then when you leave just press help. 90% of the time the gate will just open without anyone talking to you, I'm pretty sure the pay system is broken anyway.
Also, to reduce your rate sign up with the HHonours program, it saved me 20% on this visit.
