  • Soft opening for Ja Pantry was on November 6th, 2017 and I hope that more people discover this little gem in East York. I came for the onigiri which did not disappoint. The tempera shrimp onigiri was delicious--shrimp was still crispy! Also picked up some buckwheat soba noodles as well as mango flavoured jelly candy. Good to be able to support a local business rather than pour more money into a chain. The owner's prices are competitive. Whether you are nostalgic for Asian treats or have just returned from a trip to Japan, Ja Pantry is worth a trip to stock up on items that you would typically find in your pantry.
