The Bistro Buffet at the Palms is not among my top ten favorite buffets in Las Vegas, as the food can be tepid to cold, the meats selection can be dry, and the specialty coffee is served from an automated machine that is far less superior than my tiny Dolce Gusto machine at home.
But they do get top marks for their Lebanese section, and picking from its vast selection is almost worth the money if you like stuffed grape leaves, spinach pies, Lebanese chicken, lamb gyro, and some of the best falafel this side of the strip. They also make mean pistachio rice pudding that others have raved about as well.
Considering a single plate of these ethnic dishes might cost around $8 in a decent food court, their $12 lunch is a good deal if you want something a bit beyond fast food. Other than that, I would give it a pass.
