A few weeks ago I arrived for a 5:30 appointment and my appointment could not be found. I waited patiently while the receptionist looked for it and it could not be found anywhere. I showed her both the text message where I confirmed my appointment and the transcribed voice mail where I'd received a confirmation. I asked her if the paperwork I'd submitted online had been received and she said it had not. I left frustrated but was willing to give them a chance because my husband raved about this office.
I called the following morning and the person answering the phone apologized and we rescheduled. She CONFIRMED that the paperwork submitted online was indeed received. I assume the evening person was new at this point.
Second attempt at dental appointment: I arrived at 5:30 for a 5:40 appointment with no receptionist in sight. I take a seat and wait. 5 minutes, pass --- 12 minutes pass and now I'm officially late. I hear people in a back room talking about haircuts and Instagram. Meanwhile I sit alone in the waiting room. At 5:42, I interrupt a hygienist working on a patient and informed her I had a 5:40 appointment and had not checked in. Out comes the same receptionist as before and she apologizes. Apology NOT accepted.
Who in the world leaves a reception desk un-staffed when you're expecting patients? Yes you may be making copies or using the facilities so a few minutes away I totally understand. That's forgivable. But, sorry Lydian Dental your customer service is a disaster. I arrive early because that is customary. I am a good patient and I care about YOUR time.
I informed the receptionist I was frustrated and I told her to cancel my appointment. I walked out. My time is valuable too and unprofessional behavior is not acceptable and not worth my time nor money.
