| - This Ikea location is a million times better than the one in North York in my opinion. Any time I've been (I usually stray from the weekends mind you) it's not too busy, I don't feel rushed or like I'm in the way if I stop to look at something. The complete opposite to North York, where I felt like I was in a zoo and on the brink of a panic attack.
It is not too difficult to find things, both the show room and the warehouse are well maintained and organized so if you expect to find something in aisle 12, it will be in aisle 12. Well, unless they're sold out, but I haven't encountered that either - so points for good stock!
There is ample parking, close to transit and even a free shuttle from Kipling station. How convenient!
I've been shopping at Ikea for a few years but it never even occurred to me to try the food, afterall my mission is usually for a specific piece of furniture and I end up leaving with a whole new decor scheme...I digress. I thought I'd start simple with a cinnamon bun, holy smokes it was fresh and delicious I ended up buying a case to take home.
The staff is friendly, I don't know the benefit of being a member of the "ikea family" or whatever their member card is, in any event I don't have one and the young man at the cash scanned his for me.
Can't wait to have a reason to justify going back again soon
